The supports are the bases on which the mattress is placed. It is very important that the choice of the support is carried out respecting the characteristics of the mattress itself; these two elements must, in fact, be successfully combined in order to obtain an optimum level of comfort according to the specific needs of each individual person.

In particular, considering the specificity of the Italian bedding preferences, supports consist of slatted bed frames, in the several available versions depending on the matched mattress but also on the requirements of practical use, with the possibility, for example, to tilt the head or feet side manually or electrically. In the box-beds, particularly suitable to obtain additional storing space, the slatted frames are conceived to allow the lifting of the mattress supporting surface, possibly also facilitating the daily operations of bed re-fixing.

In addition to the slatted frames there are the so-called "sommiers" that may be with springs or with a padded rigid surface, thus providing a different level of rigidity studied in combination with the chosen type of mattress.
